Thelle Forest - National Forest

Le Coudray Saint Germer

This forest is of remarkable interest from a heritage point of view, and covers 1,000 hectares. You can explore it using the information tables located along the marked educational trail.
You can see the “big oak”, which is 3 centuries old (5 metres in circumference) and is located at the Baraque crossroads, and the remains of the Gallo-Roman tombs (dolmens) 500 metres from the big oak, which have been the subject of excavations.

The circuit is 5.4 km long and is suitable for families.

Les Communaux

Blacourt

One of the last remaining prairie and wetland sites typical of The Pays de Bray.
Covering around 30 hectares, the municipal parcels of land mainly consist of woodland with Pedunculate oaks and Pubescent oak. Some open areas still exist: grassy moorland, wet moorland, grazed prairies, sedgeland and fern land. Among these, there is still a small area of wet moorland with cross-leaved heath.
Part of the site is Natura 2000 listed. There is a landscaped, signposted sightseeing path so visitors can discover the area’s exceptional plant and wildlife heritage.
